Central Soya

Central Soya, a company of Cereol, is headquartered in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The businesses of Central Soya Company, Inc. are primarily related to the production of food for human consumption. The process begins with the procurement of raw agricultural products and involves oilseed processing, vegetable oil refining and the manufacture of soy protein and lecithin. Products in processed form are resold to the agricultural, food and industrial markets. Founded in 1934 by Dale W. McMillen with its first processing plant in Decatur, IN, Central Soya earned its reputation as a pioneer in technology by importing some of the country抯 first large-scale solvent extraction equipment from Europe. Four years later, the company received its first patent for an extraction procedure that yielded a soybean meal rich in color and superior in nutritional quality. Situated in the principal soybean-producing region of the world, Central Soya has grown from that single plant into a corporation with facilities in Europe, South America and Asia.
